Stick Ball

MVC-552S.JPG (17955 bytes) Stick ball played an important part in the life of the village. Not only was it a sport, it was a means of settling disputes within the village and between the tribes. MVC-553S.JPG (15246 bytes) The fellow in the upper picture is a college student majoring in psychology. His opponent, seen here at the left, is a High School student. The ball would be hurled at a fish atop a pole. Someone had to be on the far side to retrieve and return the serve.
